Astounding! A true work of art.
…
This book deserves ten, no twenty stars. The first book was good, but this was truly moving. So much happens at such a fast pace. It had me on the edge of my seat and staying up late just to see what happened next. A true heroine in every sense of the word, and Talik is always there to support her. Both of them have a strong faith that sees them through every trial and battle.
Falcon Flight (Falcon Chronicle Book II)
Falcon Flight is a fast-paced medieval fantasy of danger, disguise, and romance. This skillful reimagining of a thread of history – combined with the novel’s surprise twists – is everything avid readers of YA fantasy mystery, romantic adventure, and literary fiction yearn for.
Long lost first daughter of her stronghold, Kyrin returns to Britannia from slavery in Araby. But the wazir seeks the death touch at any cost, and Kyrin’s adopted father refuses to give him the deadly knowledge. When the wazir takes him hostage, Kyrin and her sister rescue him and flee into the desert. Then Kyrin departs for Britannia alone, where she must lift the price from their heads.
But ambitious lords and the intrigue she left behind in Araby engulf her stronghold. Torn between a lord’s son she has sworn never to hand-fast, a bitter rival, and her father’s life, Kyrin struggles to save her people despite their enemies’ plots. Only to discover the falcon dagger is the key to life, death, and a traitor deeper yet.
Fans of the coming of age adventure Dawn of Wonder: The Wakening Book 1, and other YA Fantasy books with a strong hero or heroine will enjoy this Christian action and adventure series full of daring, faith, and found family. YA historical fantasy tropes from Love and Friendship to Save the Kingdom make this a teen fantasy to satisfy readers who love clean YA fantasy, women’s fiction with strong romantic heroines, and cross-cultural or Asian military fantasy.
